I would simply not have been the same person without Harry in my life. I was incredibly fortunate to benefit from the sheer investment of so much time he had in me, never mind his energy or the wisdom and experience that he shared with me through his excellent coaching, from the age of 10. Always guiding me, Harry was not just a coach, but a true nurturer through the years, even beyond my archery. He inspires me incredibly with his unwavering resilience. Fighting until the end, Harry refused to let his health get in the way of his passion in archery: giving his all to help others in the sport. Even despite any setback we faced as a team, Harry's belief in me never faltered. It will truly not be the same without him for so, so many people. However, I aim to follow in his footsteps with his resolve and values that always stood strong, held back by nothing. I am incredibly grateful for the amazing time we had together and will never forget his wise words when on the shooting line.

Harry was instrumental in changing the direction of our club, bringing World class coaching to Jersey, encouraging many of us to take the first steps on the coaching ladder and then supporting us every time he visited the Island. Without Harry I don’t think we would be the performance focused club we are today. We all benefited from Harry’s calm nature, knowledge and experience. He opened doors for the club with Archery GB and for that we are all hugely grateful.  Archery has lost a true great and Jersey Archery Society has lost a very dear friend.  Rest in Peace Harry. 

Jane & Will, We are all so sorry for your loss, but please take comfort that Harry will live on with so many. Harry, What words could ever describe your patience and gentle interaction with anyone who had the privilege to meet you. Here are a few photos of our time with you. Brett went from unknown in the archery world, to represent his County, England and GB in no time. This was only possible by you squeezing the natural talent out of Brett. Photos prove how proud you are with everyone you coached. The two comedians, Paul & Brett stretched all our patience, but you got the best out of them.
